Fadhilah Reading Surat al-Baqarah

Surah al-Baqarah is the second letter in the Qur'an. This letter, which means female cow, is the longest letter with two hundred and eighty-six verses. It also contains the longest verse in the entire Koran. Namely verse two hundred and eighty-two which explains the recommendation to record debts and receivables and other chapters of muamalah (worship).
In addition, in Surat al-Baqarah there is also the most noble verse. It is the two hundred and fifty fifth verse which is known as the Kursi verse. While the content found in it, including the command to pray, fast, zakat, hajj, and other acts of worship that can bring a servant closer to Allah Ta'ala.
Because of this, Surah al-Baqarah has very abundant and great virtues. Here we summarize it as stated in the book Irsyadul 'Ibad:
Intercessor on Judgment Day
“Read the Koran. Because he can intercede on the Day of Judgment with his experts. Read the two letters that are bright like flowers or lamps, namely al-Baqarah and Ali 'Imaran. Because both of them will arrive on the Day of Judgment like clouds or groups lining up to defend their experts. Read Surah al-Baqarah. Because if you carry it out you will definitely be blessed, if you leave it you will definitely suffer loss and regret, and those who cannot carry it out will be false and dishonest people." (HR. Ahmad)
The Crown of Heaven will be given to those who read it
Rasulullah Shallallahu 'Alaihi wa Sallam said, "Whoever recites Surat al-Baqarah will be given a crown from heaven."(HR. al - Baihaqi)
The closing of Surat al-Baqarah is like a prayer, recitation, and prayer
"Indeed Allah Ta'ala has closed Surat al-Baqarah with two verses given to me from the treasury under the throne. So learn it yourself, and teach it to your wife and children. Because it is like prayer, reading, and prayer." (HR. al-Hakim)
Let's read more al-Qur'an al-Karim, including surat al-Baqarah. This priority is a general motivation for Muslims to always communicate with Allah Ta'ala by reading the Qur'an.
